History and Future of SCC

I was just browsing through my unused flickr account and I noticed a newspaper article we had a long time ago! We had just finished our first year being a university club, and everything seemed good. We had practice 4 times a week, people coming and going and learning new things.

Right now, the University club has potential, but obviously needs new people if it wants to revive it’s activity. On the brighter news, Street Culture Club RY (registered association) has been formed in Lappeenranta! The active members outside of the University grew and grew, and it was clear that a registered Association should be formed! The main officials of the association are Jyri Poikonen, Dimitri Lisitsyn, Anssi Saviluoto and many members of the HC-Meisseli -crew.

According to my records, Street Culture Club (the university club) was formed on 18th of October 2007. That means the club will turn 4 years in only 3 weeks!

Street Culture Club will live forever!!
